Colleen Townsend, MD, Chief Medical Officer 

Dr. Townsend is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. She completed a Family Medicine Residency Program at the University of California in San Francisco/Community Health Network Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Townsend’s clinical interests are providing quality primary care to individuals, families and communities that are medically marginalized. Her administrative interests center on education and training of students in the health professions.

Ninad Athale, MD

Dr. Athale graduated from medical school at UC San Diego and completed his residency in Sacramento at the Sutter Health Family Practice Residency Program. His clinical interests include full spectrum family medicine, procedures, addiction medicine and treating chronic pain. He has also studied American Sign Language and has worked with the Deaf community while in medical school in San Diego.

Gabriela Bermudez, MDGabriela Bermudez, MD

Dr. Bermudez is a graduate of Howard University College of Medicine. She has a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Bermudez completed her Family Medicine Residency Program at Beth Israel Hospital in 2002. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.

Audrey Ewig, MD

Dr. Ewig is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics Residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland in 2003. Dr. Ewig then completed a fellowship in Neonatology at the University of California Davis Medical Center. After practicing neonatology in both a private practice setting and with a managed care organization, she is excited to now combine her interests in neonatology and general pediatrics, caring for Clinic Ole neonatal and pediatric patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Zita Latona, MDZita Latona, MD

Dr. Latona is a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Dr. Latona completed her Family Medicine Residency in Modesto, California. She has been working at Clinic Ole since 2007.  Dr. Latona evaluates and treats all latent tuberculosis cases from Napa County (who do not have private insurance.)  She enjoys treating our diverse population and speaking Spanish every day.

Sonia Lee, MD, Director of Pediatrics

Dr. Lee is a graduate of Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Pediatrics at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA in 2000. Dr. Lee then spent five years at the Stanislaus County Family Medicine  Residency Program training family residents in Pediatrics before moving on to work at Kaiser Petaluma as a general pediatrician for four years.

Rebecca Levy, DO

Dr. Rebecca Levy is a Fellow and Board Certified member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She studied at St Francis College and Boston University. She completed medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. She is an Adjunct Faculty Member at Touro College of Medicine in Vallejo, and lectures locally on women’s health issues. Dr. Levy has a special interest in menopausal management, especially in the use of alternative and Bioidentical Hormone treatments.

Robert Moore, MDRobert L. Moore, MD

Dr. Moore is a graduate of the University of California at San Francisco’s School of Medicine. He has a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University in New York City. Dr. Moore completed his Family Medicine Residency Program at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California in 1995. His clinical interests include: Pediatrics (including immunizations, childhood obesity and oral health), Women’s Health, Diabetes, and Public Health (including Tuberculosis). His administrative interests center on quality improvement, education of students in the health professions, and use of information technology in health care.  Dr. Moore served as Medical Director of Clinic Ole for 14 years.  He is now Chief Medical Officer at Partnership HealthPlan but continues to see patients at the Clinic on a limited basis.

Richard Pastcan, MDRichard Pastcan, MD

Dr. Pastcan is a graduate of Penn State University’s School of Medicine. He completed a pediatric residency at Ohio State University. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, from the University of California at Berkeley. In 2008, he retired from a 32 year career at Kaiser Permanente, serving as the Chief of Pediatrics at the facility in Napa. His interest is improving the health outcomes and living conditions for the underserved children in our community.

I am concerned with both the medical, emotional and intellectual health of all children and believe we need to give each child the best of environments to enable them to develop.”

Elizabeth Shaw,  MD

Dr. Shaw graduated from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine in 2007. In June 2010 she completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center, where she focused on providing high quality medical care to children and adults in both the clinic and hospital setting. Dr. Shaw is interested in preventive medicine, women’s health and innovative chronic disease management. She is native to the Napa Valley, having grown up in Calistoga, and is thrilled to return to practice in her home community as part of the Clinic Ole team.

Sita Singh, MD

Dr. Sita Singh is a graduate of the Kern Medical Center-UCLA residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is passionate about obstetrics, believes that there are few moments as sacred as childbirth, and feels honored by the many women who choose to share this experience with her. She is also a qualified gynecologist. Focusing on minimally invasive surgery in her training, she was awarded membership to the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. Women often spend so much time taking care of others and neglect their own health. By joining Clinic Ole’s Napa Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group, Dr. Singh hopes to spend her career as the doctor who cares for them.

Jerome Solomon MD, FACOG

Dr. Jerome Solomon is a Fellow and Board Certified Member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He founded Napa Women’s Medical Group in 1978, and in 2011, his practice joined Clinic Ole and was renamed Napa Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group. Dr. Solomon completed his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University, in Washington D.C., and attended medical school in New York City at the New York Medical College. He was an intern at Travis Air Force Base, in Fairfield California, and then at the Flight Surgery School at Brooke Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After serving three years in the Air Force, Dr. Solomon did his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas. He greatly enjoys obstetrics and also has a special interest in infertility and gynecological urology.

Doug Wilson, MDDouglas Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson is a graduate of Loma Linda University’s School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency Program at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California in 2001.

Jennifer Wilson, MDJennifer Wilson, MD, Director of Quality Improvement

Dr. Wilson is a graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. She also has a Master’s in Public Health from the University of California in Davis, California. Dr. Wilson completed her Family Medicine Residency Program at San Jose Medical Center in San Jose, California in 2005. Her clinical interests include providing community oriented primary care, women’s health and infectious diseases.

Mara Adelman, PAMara Adelman, Physician Assistant

Mara Adelman is a graduate of the Physician Assistant program at the University of California in Davis, California. She spent two years at Community Health Clinic Ole as a student before being hired after her graduation. Several times a year, she is in charge of teaching asthma classes in both English and Spanish. Over the last year, Mara has been working with the County of Napa to get the clinic better prepared to assist the hospital and county agencies in the event of a potential disaster.

Lily Bastian, CNM

Lily Bastian attended the Yale School of Nursing, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nurse Midwifery. She is a board certified Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board. Lily has been a part of the birthing community for 12 years, first working as a Doula (labor assistant), then as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, and now as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Her research interests lie in creative approaches to managing pain, sexual abuse, and teenage pregnancy. In addition to her medical training, she has a vast knowledge of holistic modalities including massage, movement, and herbal/vitamin therapy. She is happy to support women holistically and medically.

Angela Carreón, Family Nurse Practitioner, Director of Health Information Technology

Angela Carreón is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2006.

Jose Coronado, Family Nurse Practitioner

Jose Coronado is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of California in Davis, California. He completed an Associate of Sciences Registered Nurse degree program at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California in 1995.

Jennifer Despres CNM, NP, MS

Jennifer Despres attended the University of California, San Francisco, where she received her nursing education and was awarded her Master of Science degree. Jennifer is licensed as both a nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner. She is a board certified member of the American College of Nurse Midwives and also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. Prior to attending nursing school, Jennifer volunteered as a doula, supporting women both emotionally and physically throughout labor and childbirth. Jennifer embraces a holistic approach to women’s health care, and is dedicated to providing women of all ages with compassionate and empowering care throughout their lives. She believes midwifery is truly a calling, and is delighted to welcome so many newborns into the world.

Pamela Higgins, CNM, MS

Pamela Higgins attended nursing school at American River College in Sacramento, and completed the nurse midwifery program through the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco in 1987. She is board certified by the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Pam was the first Certified Nurse Midwife to practice in Napa County. She has been providing expert full scope women’s health care at Clinic Ole’s Napa Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group since 1987.

Kim Honda, FNPKimberlee Honda, Family Nurse Practitioner

Kimberlee Honda is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She earned her RN in the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing in 2006 and went on to complete a Master’s of Science in 2008 at UCSF. Her clinical interests include pediatrics, women’s health and managing chronic disease.

Anne Ledvina, Family Nurse Practitioner

Anne Ledvina is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of California in San Francisco, California. She completed her Master’s Entry Program in Nursing in 2004, and Master of Science in Nursing in 2006.

K. Parvin LuceK. Parvin Luce, Physician Assistant

K. Parvin Luce is a graduate of the Physician Assistant Program at the University of California in Davis, California. She interned at Community Health Clinic Ole and a local pediatric practice prior to graduation. She earned her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA in 1995 and has worked since that time at St. Helena Hospital.

Elizabeth Martorana, Physician Assistant, Director of Medical Clinic Services

Elizabeth Martorana is a graduate of the joint Physician Assistant/Public Health program at Touro University-California. She completed her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies as well as her Master of Public Health in 2007.

 

 

 

Laura Paoletti, CNM

Laura Paoletti is a native San Franciscan who graduated from UCSF as a Certified Midwife/Nurse Practitioner in 2001. Prior to that, she lived in London where she studied to become a Registered Nurse. She was lured to Napa by her husband three years ago. Laura’s clinical interests include teen health and the management of peri-menopause and menopause.

 

Charlene Reilly, Family Nurse Practitioner

Charlene Reilly is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Sonoma State University. She completed her Master’s in Nursing from Sonoma State University in California in 1996. Charlene Reilly completed a Registered Nursing program at the College of Alameda/Kaiser Foundation Nursing School.

 

 

Jorge Roman, Family Nurse Practitioner

Jorge Roman is a graduate of the Family Health Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he received his Master of Science in Nursing in 2010. He also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Nursing Program in 2009, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Jorge’s clinical training focused on providing health services to the racially diverse, low-income population of Philadelphia, with particular experience in the Latino, LGBT, and homeless communities. His clinical interests include HIV/AIDS in primary care and adolescent medicine.

Georgina Samuel, Physician Assistant

Georgina Samuel is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Ca. where she obtained her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2008.  She completed her Undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California Irvine in 2005.

Lucretia Sonderer received a B.A. in Environmental Studies at Lewis & Clark College and a Master of Science from the University of California, San Francisco, Family Nurse Practitioner Program.

 Kathleen Wishart, Family Nurse Practitioner

Kathleen Wishart is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Sonoma State University. She completed her Bachelor’s at University of San Francisco and her Master’s in Nursing from Sonoma State University in California in 1993.

Ramiro Zarate, Family Nurse Practitioner

Ramiro Zarate is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Sonoma State University. He completed his Master’s degree in Nursing from Sonoma State in 2009. Ramiro interned at Community Health Clinic Ole and other healthcare organizations in the Napa Valley. He completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Pacific Union College in Angwin, California in 2000.

“I like working at Community Health Clinic Ole because I have the opportunity to provide high quality health care to those who are unable to afford such care anywhere else in the Napa Valley. Born and raised in Yurecuaro Michoacán, Mexico, I am able to understand the struggles that many immigrants from other countries must go through in order to have their health needs satisfied. I am proud of becoming an active team member of such a great health care organization.”

Robert C. Wright, PhD, LAc NBAO

Robert Wright is a Licensed Acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He has been involved in Chinese Medicine for over twenty-five years and been practicing in Napa since 1989. He specializes in on musculo-skeletal pain disorders, soft-tissue injuries and neurological disorders, immune diseases like chronic fatigue and myofascitis syndromes and allergies. Dr. Wright has been an executive board member of the National Board Of Acupuncture Orthopedics and The National Board of Traditional Chinese Orthotraumatology, and the World Federation of Orthotraumatology. He is a former professor at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco teaching medical history and acupuncture orthopedics.

Leigh Burns, Registered Dietitian

Leigh graduated from the University of California at Davis where she studied Clinical Nutrition and Spanish. Leigh has experience working in maternal and child health, with a special interest in lactation education and childhood obesity prevention. She is also currently studying to become a Certified Diabetes Educator. She is grateful to work for Clinic Ole and Healthy Moms and Babies because she is able to help people of all ages become passionate about health and nutrition.

Samantha Lalush, Registered Dietitian

Samantha grew up in Chile and moved to California in 2002 to go to school. She graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she received her BS in Nutrition. Then she completed her dietetic internship at UCSF and became a Registered Dietitian in 2010. Samantha enjoys working in the community, and helping people learn about nutrition.

Rebecca Grageda, Registered Nurse

Rebecca Grageda graduated from Solano Community College in 2008 and has been working with Clinic Ole since 2010. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Sonoma State University and has a real passion for primary care and disease prevention.

Jesus Prado, Registered Nurse

Jesus Prado completed his Associate Degree in Nursing at Napa Valley College in Napa, California in 1996.
